Alex has just begun a two-month residency at the prestigious American Academy in Rome which has been made possible through the Australia Council for the Arts / Mordant Family Fellowship which he was awarded in 2019. The American Academy is a leading centre for independent studies and advanced research in the fine arts and humanities, and supports innovative artists, writers, and scholars living and working together in a dynamic international community.
